Peachy color block nail art

Hello Lovelies!

J'espère que vous allez bien et que vous passez un bon week-end ! Pour ma part, le mien sera (encore) placé sous le signe du potager. Après avoir préparé le sol et acheté les premiers plants la semaine dernière, on attaque les plantations et les semis aujourd'hui ! En attendant, je ne vous retrouve pas dans cet article pour vous parler potager, mais plutôt du petit nail art qui m'accompagne depuis quelques jours :

I hope you are doing well and having a great weekend! Mine will be (once again) dedicated to the vegetable garden. After having prepared the soil and bought the first seedlings last week, we'll start planting and sowing today! However, I am not here to talk about vegetable gardening, but rather about the nail art that I have been wearing for the last few days:

This nail art was inspired by the packaging of the new Peggy Sage orange blossom skincare collection (which I'm giving away on my Instagram account, feel free to enter if you haven't already, the smell is to die for!) 🍊

En voyant ces adorables packagings colorés, j'ai eu envie d'associer du pêche, du orange et du blanc dans un nail art un peu géométrique et voilà le résultat :

Seeing these adorable colorful packages, I wanted to combine peach, orange and white in a slightly geometric nail art and here is the result:

En ce qui concerne la réalisation, j'ai commencé par appliquer la teinte Often Soften* de Kinetics en diagonal sur la moitié de mon ongle (en protégeant l'autre moitié avec du masking tape).

Ensuite, j'ai ajouté un carré orange en superposition avec la teinte Think Samba*, toujours de Kinetics. J'ai tracé le carré à main levé directement avec le pinceau du vernis donc les traits ne sont pas parfaitement perpendiculaires, mais de loin, ça passe très bien ^^

Enfin, j'ai ajouté une bande striping tape blanc sur la partie haute de mon ongle, puis j'ai appliqué une couche de top coat mat pour obtenir un effet velouté et voilà !

As for the execution, I started by applying the Kinetics Often Soften* shade diagonally across half of my nail (protecting the other half with masking tape).

Then I layered an orange square with Think Samba*, also from Kinetics. I drew the square directly with the brush of the polish so the lines are not perfectly perpendicular, but from a distance, it looks great ^^

Finally, I added a white striping tape on the top of my nail, then I applied a coat of matte top coat to get a velvety finish and voilà!
